Welcome to the Home of Team PYL

An official local preliminary to the Miss California and Miss America competitions, the Miss Placentia and Yorba Linda Scholarship Program awards thousands of dollars of educational scholarships each year to its qualified candidates. The mission of this non-profit, all-volunteer organization is to empower the young women of Placentia and Yorba Linda to achieve their personal, scholastic, and professional goals. We are proud to prepare great women for the world and prepare the world for great women.

Our representatives act as goodwill ambassadors and serve the communities of Placentia and Yorba Linda throughout their year of service. Some events they attend include: ribbon cuttings for new businesses; parades; concerts in the park; spelling bees; fundraisers such as LobsterFest and Cowabunga; and holiday functions such as the Easter Eggcitement, 4th of July Spectacular, Placentia Heritage Days, and the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. Our four titleholders enjoy a fun-filled, busy and exciting year of service. While the communities benefit from their service, the titleholders gain incredible personal growth and lifetime connections, which are both priceless.
